The pros and cons of commission sales jobs – Scott Sylvan Bell

Sales is one of the greatest jobs on earth. The pros and cons of commission sales jobs may be a little different that what most people think. You have the ability to make unlimited income. There are some down sides to only being working commission only sales jobs. There is the pressure that comes from not having set pay but there is also freedom in knowing you can make as much money as you want. There is one danger with commissions only pay and that is you must learn how to budget. It is really easy to spend a bog check and then have nothing left over. This creates a problem because then you speed up your sales presentation and or become desperate.
Commission only sales reps that are closers can get a job anywhere. You must remember if you are a closer you are the prize. Most salespeople are lazy and this is of benefit to you. Commission only salespeople take plenty of risk especially when it comes to being paid.
Sales training does not ever talk about this aspect of sales and what it can do to you. Commission only sales reps can make more money then physicians with less schooling. This is because they assume all of the risk. Commission only salespeople will always be in demand in almost any industry. If you are a business owner or a sales manager you must know how to pay salespeople to attract the ones with the best sales skills.

Closers can get hired anywhere for almost any industry, this is important to remember. If you are the closer you are the prize.
