Berkeley Lab – California – Lawrence Berkeley National Lab’s ( ), has an opening for a Student Assistant to join the National Microbiome Data Collaborative (NMDC) team! The NMDC is a new pilot program that aims to make microbiome data findable, accessible, interoperable, and reusable (FAIR) by developing a science gateway. Ensuring that the data standards, analysis workflows, and infrastructure in the NMDC data ecosystem are informed and driven by the microbiome research community is critical to the program’s success…; community engagement is one of the NMDC’s strategic priorities. The Student Assistant will assist with conducting and coding user interviews with microbiome researchers, synthesizing the knowledge learned, and presenting it to relevant technical members of the NMDC team.
