Medical Technologist OR Medical Laboratory Technician

New Medical Technologist Job AND Medical Lab Tech Job available due to company growth. This is a full-time, day shift position. Join an independent lab company at their headquarters. You’ll be working in a high volume core laboratory.

In this role you will ….
- Perform the full range of laboratory tests provided by Interpath Laboratory— Blood Banking, Chemistry, Hematology, Immunology, Microbiology, Urinalysis and Coagulation.
- Operate complex automated laboratory equipment, electronic equipment, computer software, and precision instruments. Provide trouble-shooting on such instruments as far as possible.
- Confirm accuracy of test results.
- Evaluate test results and recognize abnormal values in specific population groups.
- Report laboratory findings to pathologist and other healthcare providers.
- Develop and modify procedures as needed.
- Establish and monitor programs, to ensure the accuracy of tests.
- Participate in all aspects of proficiency testing.

Job Requirements:
- Medical Technologists need to have a bachelor’s degree from a certified MT program.
- Medical Laboratory Technicians will need to have an associates degree from a certified MLT program.
- ASCP or NCA certification is preferred, but they will consider other nationally recognized certifications.
