It’s a concern that a lot of people ask – and one that comes up in the movie “Office” where the characters are speaking about the concept of ending up working at the same task for 20 or 30 years.
” I would like that type of task security” was the reaction from one character.
But it raises a real question that developers often face in a market where it’s uncommon to remain at a task for more than 2 to 4 years:

As a designer that has more tasks on my resume than I can keep in mind, off-hand, it’s a concern I have actually often asked. And in spite of my continuous movement between tasks (and clients), I consider my profession to be really stable – to have high task security.
